Plant a forest with Abby and Natuurpunt

Roelant Savery

Abby is joining forces with Natuurpunt to plant new woodland. At the start of the After Nature exhibition, we are already putting 1,000 m² of new woodland on the counter, equivalent to around 200 trees. That is the same as the total area of our exhibition spaces. You can help make that number grow.

With After Nature, Abby takes an art-historical look at our changing relationship with nature. What happens when nature can no longer be taken for granted? And what role can we play ourselves? The exhibition aims not only to inspire wonder and reflection, but also to encourage concrete action.

When purchasing a ticket, online or at the museum desk, you can choose to donate a number of square metres of woodland. In this way, you can help expand our 1,000 m² of woodland, and together we can create more oxygen and support greater biodiversity.

With this commitment, Abby wants to take the ideas explored in After Nature beyond the walls of the museum. For future exhibitions, we also want to continue reducing our ecological impact by supporting, through Natuurpunt, an equivalent area of woodland to compensate for the exhibition space.

Natuurpunt Bos voor iedereen

Forest for Everyone

Forests are one of our best defences against climate change and an essential home for plants and animals. Yet Flanders has a major shortage of woodland.

Together with nature lovers like you, Natuurpunt has already planted thousands of trees. But nature needs more space. Many young trees are waiting to take root. With your donation, Natuurpunt can give them a place to grow, across Flanders.

Make a donation today and help plant the forest of tomorrow.
