Heleen Seys (Menen, 1992) uses her body as a language through which to tell stories.
Although her work is rooted in analogue photography, it also encompasses a wide range of other artistic forms. By creating multiple versions of herself, Seys continuously copies her own image in an attempt to transcend the body. Through an ever-growing archive of self-studies, she explores, both literally and figuratively, her place as a human being, a woman and an artist.
