Abby’s Stadsliving is an open house with many rooms. Alone, with friends or in a group, as an art enthusiast or a complete museum novice: feel welcome and make yourself at home. From art workshops and lectures to pop-up concerts and morning yoga sessions, from modest expos to large, participative projects: in the Urban living room you can not only attend a gamut of activities but you are also given the opportunity to conduct your own experiments, to grow and connect.

are open between 10 AM and 6 PM.
Living
Welcome to the Living, Abby’s artistic living room, curated and designed every two years by a guest artist. Settle into a comfortable armchair, browse the newspaper alongside the displayed works, or challenge a bold opponent to a game of chess.
Here you’ll also discover works from Abby’s collection, selected by the artist. Under the name The ReCollection, the collection enters into dialogue with contemporary art: new connections emerge between works, and stories around the broad theme of ‘identity’ come to life.

Salon
Once the sleeping quarters of the convent sisters, the Salon is now a free space for young and old to spark new dreams and ideas, collaborations and creative experiments. Abby’s Salon is radically participatory: it is open to anyone who wants to organise or present something, exchange ideas about art and society, or co-create a project.

Atelier
“Everyone is born an artist. The challenge is to stay one,” Picasso once said. In the Workshop you can hone your drawing, painting and other creative skills in special workshops and spontaneous artwork sessions. You’re welcome to drop by, every open door is an invitation. Pull up a chair, come and discover how art is created or let your own imagination run wild. Feel free to join in!
